adequate stay, with some drawbacks

the breakfast was tasty and offered a good variety of options.
I was quite disappointed with the front desk service. I left my jacket and after assurances of it being returned, communication ceased. despite paying for a courier label, my jacket was never sent back, costing me both the jacket and the courier fee. this lack of follow-through was frustrating. the hotel itself wasn't bad, but this experience negatively impacted my overall stay.

the location is excellent. i stepped right outside and found myself surrounded by shops and restaurants. breakfast was fantastic! it included really nice dutch continental options.

the hotel is easy to reach from the train station. it took me about ten minutes to walk. the bed in my standard double room was comfortable and i slept well. the staff was friendly.
the bathroom had a bad smell. it seemed to extend into the room as well. i could only open the window a little bit, around 15 cm. i also had to use some effort to open it.

Drunk people were yelling on the street. The loud music kept me awake. The windows did not provide adequate sound insulation.
